Yacht charter in Murter region

The island of Murter and the surrounding isles lay in the northwestern part of the Šibenik archipelago, separated from the mainland by Tisno canal, over which a 12-meter bridge is spanned. A degree of isolation this small bridge gives is felt when there are lesser crowds in the peak of the summer season. Because of that, Murter attracts tourists, yachtsmen and all lovers of a sailing holiday with sandy beaches and beautiful points of interest in the vicinity (Kornati, Paklenica, and Krka National parks, for example). Olives, figs and wild berries grow in plenty on Murter, giving a unique experience of picking and eating fruit right from the water.

Tranquility that only sand under your feet and warm gentle waves can give is to be found in Murter region. Long summer days and nights, filled with exciting new experiences will pass into vivid memory of a perfect Murter sailing holiday.

Murter

Roots spreading across the sands of time, Murter has long since been a place where our ancestors raised livestock and cultivated olives and figs. Ancient Romans built settlement on the hill of Gradina, from where a magnificent perspective of the surrounding islands can be obtained. The chapel of St. Roko, the church of St. Mihovil, the church of Lady of Gradina, all testaments to rich history Murter has to offer. The Murterians own much of the Kornati archipelago, an advantage that has put Murter on the tourist map of the world with so-called “Robinsonian” tourism. For nautical tourists, this means the kind of peace one experiences only when on a boat, surrounded by the sea and stars. Murter marina boasts 400 berths and 250 dry docks, a good place to re-stock, re-fuel and sail to the unknown, once more.

Jezera

The smallest town on the island of Murter, offering plenty of peace and quiet while in the same time offering up-to-date service and quality. Located on the northeastern part of the island, surrounded by gentle hinterland, Jezera has developed from a small fishing village to one of the main Dalmatian fishing centers. On the promenade, charming fish restaurants offer numerous fresh seafood specialties and locally grown wines while the fisherman dock with freshly caught spoils. All of the above stated facts lead to Jezera and its ACI marina, with naturally protected position, being an ideal place to dock, rent or charter.

Betina

Located in the center of the island, Betina incorporates many features of natural beauty, history, culture and attractive summer moments. Any sailor wanting to visit the Kornati archipelago is likely to make port around Betina because of its excellent maritime infrastructure. When the bell of St. Francis tolls in Betina, there is nowhere better to be than in the sea, cooling off and enjoying the feel. Traditions are upheld with pride in Betina. The local shipyards are the oldest in the Adriatic and the Museum of Wooden Shipbuilding has many interesting exponents, with the feature product being the Gajeta, a sailing vessel 8 meters long and 2 meters wide.
