Athen to Aegina one of the most popular routes in Greece

Athen to Aegina 7 days

Before you start your sailing trip, visit the famous Acropolis or just walk through the narrow streets of the Plaka district, the oldest district of Athens, at the foot of the Acropolis. With a view to the island of Aegina, 15 miles southwest, you can reach the city of Kai, where you can also go shopping or have a coffee on the promenade - supermarkets, butchers and fresh fruits can be found on site. The next stage is Aegina, 13 sea miles south. In the lagoon of Poros you will find nice anchorage places. Here you can provided yourself with a midday snack in one of the beautiful tavernas or you can swim and sunbathe on the beautiful pebble beach.

Village of Epidavros

For the next section on the third day, you will sail 22 miles to the small fishing village of Epidavros – which is worth a trip to the best preserved theater. It offers a great view over the nearby mountains and the historical excavation site. Whoever is brave enough, sits down in the middle of the stage and sings and can be put back into time by the acoustics.

Harbor town of Korfos

Today's stage is Korfos. The harbor town, which is well-known by the Athenians, offers tavernas with fresh fish as well as classic shopping facilities (bakeries, fruit and greengrocer's shops, supermarkets). You sit directly at the water and look at the colorful activity of the promende and the harbor. Afterwards, you sail 11 miles to the east-southeast and arrive at the island of Agistri, a small inhabited island belonging to the group of the Saronic Islands. The island characterizes a beautiful landscape, the crystal clear water, clean beaches and not least the relaxed flair with its inhabitants. Here you will find peace and relaxation. A walk on the beach to one of the beautiful taverns lets the evening end.

Fishing village of Perdika

With Perdika you sail to a beautiful fishing village and the classical white Greek houses. Situated directly on the harbor, you can enjoy the view in one of the numerous tavernas. Take the day to relax and swim in one of the enchanting bays that the uninhabited island offers.

Now we go, past the pistachios on the west and north coast of Aegina, back to the starting point to Athens.
